Simms - Mabel Ball

Mabel Marie Simms, 63, of 402 Seminary St., wife of a Crawfordsville businessman, died Wednesday night in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Simms was a member of Union Christian Church and was a graduate of Waynetown High School. Born June 1, 1908 near Waynetown, she was a daughter of Floyd and Edna Wilson Ball. She married Ralph Simms Aug. 9, 1929. Survivors include the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Charles William Hatt of Terre Haute, Mrs. Joe Beller of Terre Haute and Mrs. Mike McManomy of Homestead, Fla; a brother, Ernest Ball of Ladoga; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Mastin of Indianapolis, and Mrs. William Sonricker of Smithfield, Tex., and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
